DebateAble Clubs make learning to debate fun while kids grow as critical thinkers, confident public speakers, and collaborative teammates. DebateAble is the only debate program in the country developed exclusively for kids in upper elementary grades. Through games, activities and relevant topics, debaters practice making and responding to arguments in an upbeat, positive environment-- with an emphasis on learning to consider both sides of any topic or issue. Spring Session is Tournament Session! On JUNE 1, Parkside's Debate Club will join other clubs in the Seattle area to participate in a tournament, arguing both sides of this year's (still top secret) topic. Tournament fee included in club cost.
PAYMENT STRUCTURE: DebateAble's three-tiered tuition system is designed to make debate club more affordable and accessible to all kids who want to participate. We ask that you choose your tier based on your family's ability to pay. This honor system depends on a mutual trust between DebateAble and our families, and we look to you to genuinely determine your appropriate tier.
A limited number of full scholarships are also available. Please ask your teacher for a form if you'd like to apply.
Participants must currently be in grades 4 to 6.
